Dog Tired is a small, family operated dog walking company, located in San Diego, California. We pride ourselves on being there for your pooch when they need us most. A high-energy environment to run, splash, and play with the other pack-mates is our guarantee. Everyday rain or shine, we hit the beach, trails and parks while having a blast. We are fully insured and bonded.

Are you bonded and insured?
Yes! Dog Tired San Diego is insured and bonded with Pet Sitters International and the Business Insurers of the Carolinas. Coverage includes medical for dogs, pet owners, pack leaders, the city of San Diego; property damage for client's homes or belongings as result of Dog Tired San Diego or your dog; and key and lock replacement in case of lost or stolen keys.
Are you licensed?
Yes! We are licensed with all required licensing and permits in the city of San Diego.
Are you a Dog Day Care Center?
Dog Tired San Diego loves doing one thing really well... Providing great exercise for your pup at the local dog parks and beaches of San Diego. We do not have a dog day care facility. When dogs stay with us for the day, they enjoy our Pack Adventures all day long.
Unlike dog day care centers that have anywhere from 40 - 100 dogs at a time, when dogs stay the night with Dog Tired San Diego (what we call a Staycation), they stay in our personal home, with our family. We believe that personal attention to your dog's needs is the best choice for a healthy and happy dog.
Do you require vaccination records?
We do require our clients to provide the following vaccination records:
• DHLPP or DAPP (distemper and parvo)
• Bordetella
• Rabies is required for dogs over 4 months of age
It's super easy to submit vaccinations. Upload them to your client portal or Fax your records to us at (619) 863 - 1582.
Do you require payment up-front?
Dog Tired does not require dog walking services to be paid up front. We invoice our clients bi-weekly on a Friday. Because we are very flexible with scheduling, this allows our clients to book last minute services. Have you ever pre-paid for a package of walks and not used them? At Dog Tired we believe you should have the right to decide if we are the best match for your dog without shelling out a bunch of money first!
Staycations may require pre-payment or a deposit.

Do you charge weekend fees?
Dog Tired San Diego does NOT charge Weekend Fees. Why should you have to pay extra depending on your schedule?
Do you charge more for medication adminsitration, treats, cuddles, photo updates, bringing in my mail, weekend schedules, or pick up and drop off?
Absolutely not! We do not charge anything extra for giving your pet affection, administrating medication, bringing in your mail, long walks on the beach, pick up and drop off etc... We do those things because it's a part of our service to you! We love to be there for our clients and provide an excellent service. Rest assured because everything is included.

How do I book services?
At Dog Tired San Diego, we use a great scheduling and invoicing software customized to our business needs. It allows our clients to book and cancel services, see any future or past services, make payments to invoices, sign up for automatic payments, update personal information, create a profile for your dog(s) and receive updates on future or pending service.

Dog Tired San Diego services dog walking, beach adventures, and dog boarding in the following neighborhoods: Bird Rock, Mission Hills, Mission Valley, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, Point Loma, Ocean Beach, Liberty Village, Clairemont, Old Town, Little Italy, Golden Hill, Bankers Hill, Normal Heights, University Heights, South Park, North Park, Hillcrest, and Bay Park.

Do you pick up our dog(s) from our house?
Yes! All Dog Walks and Dog Boarding include pick up and drop off service completely free between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
How do you access my house?
Dog Tired San Diego's packleader's can access your home by:
- A copy of a the entrance key
- A lockbox (Dog Tired can be provide one for a $15 refundable deposit)
- A fob or gate/door access code
Is my dog safe?
Yes! Your pooch is in great hands with Dog Tired San Diego. Our vehicles are safe and reliable. We are completely insured and bonded with Pet Sitters International and Business Insurers of the Carolinas. All pack leaders are trained in dog behavior and have been Pet First Aid Certified. Our pack sizes are small and we travel with same pack members everyday. Dog Tired San Diego only accepts well-adjusted dogs and assures the right fit for all clients.
Why do you specialize in off-leash adventures and high energy dog walking?
Dog Tired San Diego specializes in Pack Walks and Beach Adventures because it mentally and physically challenges your dog. Exercise is really the only true way to tire out your dog. At the end of the day it makes our clients happy and we get to bring our fur kids to work with us every day!
What does a Pack Adventure include?
Pack Adventures include:

Pick up and drop off.

Minimum of 60 minutes at the park or beach.

Socialization with the same pack (dog friends).

Physical exercise: swimming, running, soccer, fetch, Frisbee etc.

Towel dry at the end of the walk.

Feedback report with photos and comments.

How do you tire out the dogs?
Dogs love to socialize, run and play. We do it best! Dog Tired San Diego physically tires out our dogs with lots of running, swimming, playing and jogging. Your pooch will be mentally tired through socializing with their pack-mates. Check out our awesome photos of more tired dogs!
How do I know my dog(s) has been taken out?
Dog Tired San Diego prides itself on keeping clients updated when their pup is out with the pack. We send customized service feedback reports throughout the day. The feedback report includes photos, times picked up and dropped off, what your pup did on his adventure and their temperament. Most of all your dog will be tired when you get home, so you can rest assured that your dog had fun with us!
POLICIES
Client Agreements: Client agreements must be read, signed and filled out completely before the start of any service. By signing the client agreement, the client understands and agrees to all policies.
Emails: Dog Tired San Diego will use email as the first form of contact to inform clients of any changes to policies, rates, schedules, events, news, and all other changes. Dog Tired will assume clients have read all outgoing emails.
Age: All dogs must be at least 16 weeks of age or older to join pack walks.
Spay/Neuter: All dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered.
Vaccinations: All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations:
• DHLPP or DAPP (distemper and parvo)
• Bordetella
• Rabies is required for dogs over 4 months of age
Health: All dogs must be in good health. Clients will certify their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition within 14 days of service start date. Upon admission, all dogs must be free from any condition which could potentially jeopardize other pets.
Behavior: All dogs must be non-aggressive to all types and sizes of dogs. Owners will certify their dogs have not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behavior toward any person or any other dog(s).
Pack Adventures: Clients acknowledge risks associated with off-leash group play at Dog Beaches and Dog Parks including but not limited to:

Running, jumping, playing, swimming which could lead to minor cuts, scrapes, and injuries.

Exposure to other dogs including those not associated with Dog Tired San Diego.

Exposure to salt water, dirt, sand, and other elements.
Pick Up & Drop Off: Main times are between 8am and 3pm. Other arrangements must be agreed on prior to service.
Scheduled Services: Dog Tired requires a consistent service schedule which includes a minimum of 2 services per week. Dog Tired San Diego has the right to stop or cancel services if the client is unable to meet these requirements.
Holiday Schedule: Holiday services must be booked 14 days in advance. Dog Tired San Diego may not be able to accommodate last-minute holiday services.
Weekend Scheduling: Please book weekend services at least 48 hours in advance. We may not be able to schedule last-minute weekend services. On weekends only 1 mid-day walk is available between 10am - 1pm. Weekend walks are available depending on occupancy and may be canceled.
Service Rates: Rates are subject to change. Current rates will always be available on the Dog Tired San Diego website. Click here.
Payment Policy: There will be a $25.00 fee charged for any returned checks. All invoices must be paid on time and by the date specified on the invoice. Late payments will result in a $10 late fee. If payment is overdue for a week or longer, services will stop until payment has been made. Prepayment and/or a deposit may be required. Coupons, discounts, referral programs are not guaranteed.
Cancellation/Termination Policy: Dog Tired San Diego requires cancellation notice by 8am the day of scheduled service(s) or the client will be required to pay a cancellation fee of $10 per dog/ walk. If Dog Tired San Diego is unable to access the client’s dog(s) due to problems with dog behavior, doors or keys, the client will be required to pay a cancellation fee of $10 per dog/ walk. If the dog is not on the premise for agreed upon pick up time, the client will be required to pay a cancellation fee of $10 per dog/ walk.
Dog Walker Policy: Dog Tired San Diego will make their best effort to have a consistent specific dog walker/sitter for all services but does not guarantee that another employee, subcontractor, agent and/or owner will be assigned to your services.
Key Policy: Dog Tired San Diego will return client(s) keys within 7 days upon cancellation of services by mail. Client(s) may pick up their key(s) from Dog Tired San Diego at an appropriate time.
Grooming Policy: Dog Tired San Diego will do their best to keep dog(s) as clean as possible during and after walks. Clients should leave out towels near the entranceway that will be used for wet or muddy weather conditions. Dog Tired San Diego will not be responsible for bathing or brushing dog(s) after walks.
Media Release Policy: Dog Tired San Diego may use the client's dog(s) in photos, videos, graphic design and social media. I understand Dog Tired San Diego owns all rights to any media incorporating my dog including photos and videos and may continue to use any of that media after I stop using their services.
