Meet the Trainers

Sara Maguire

Sara is a wonderful dog trainer and animal lover. She has extensive experience in specialty behavior training such as: house manners, barking, separation anxiety, fearfulness, aggression, leash reactivity and more.

Born and raised in San Diego County, she grew up around animals. At the age of seven, she joined 4-h and showed her Australian Cattle Dog “Patches” in local dog shows. Since then, she has been very involved in the dog world. Sara's resume includes working with doggie daycare and boarding facilities for several years as a dog handler and trainer.

She attended school for dog behavior, training, and instructing. She has always been fascinated with a dog’s intelligence and the amazing bond between humans and canines.

Training Services

1 on 1 Training Consultation

Not sure where to start on your training journey? A one on one consultation is a great opportunity for us to meet you and your dog and decide which training option will be best.  It also allows us to gather valuable information about your lifestyle, training goals, and answer any questions you may have.

Private Training

Private training is done in home and is tailored to your specific needs.  We will teach you how to work with your dog to overcome specific training or behavior problems or to accomplish specific goals. Effective for teaching basic to advanced obedience.

Specialty Training

Common things addressed through specialty private training are:

House manners – jumping on guests, barking, hyper activity, counter surfing, and bolting out the door.

Behavior problems- separation anxiety, fearfulness, aggression, and leash reactivity.

Walk & Train

Our Walk N’ Train Program is great for people with busy schedules who still want their dog to get the fulfillment and benefits of training.  A trainer will work with your dog during an hour outing. Instead of only physically exercise, your dog will also get a mental workout by being taught obedience commands.  You can then set up private sessions to learn what your dog has been practicing.
